Impromptu Photoshoot with Liora Tzur Last Week…

One of my favorite friends, the photographer Liora Tzur, was in town last week visiting from Israel. On Sunday we decided to do an impromptu shoot with Elizabeth in front of Momofuku’s (upper west side). While Elizabeth and Liora got to work I feasted on cornflake-marshmallow-chocolate chip cookies and a coconut-chocolate shake, happily indulging my sugar addiction. Animal lovers all, we spontaneously incorporated local dogs into the frame as they padded by. Featured Jewelry: TALON, one of my earliest creations, is a sterling silver pendant shown here with a sterling silver ball-chain; St-Barth Collection. OCTOPUS is the silver pendant (unisex) I wear as often as PET (see Studio Collection). I love it because it is so sculptural, and it is especially comforting for me to wear because it feels like I’m taking one of my big sculptures along with me. Yes that is my fat hand on Elizabeth’s shoulder; her digits are indeed more slender; the COUGARFOX ring (Sculpture Zoo Collection)¬†is an abstraction of one beloved & irrepressibly mischievous cat, Mischka. STAG is a favorite from the¬†Studio Collection, commissioned by my artist & friend Mary Jane Ward. FANG-CLAW-BEAST is a 3-piece pendant I created by cutting The Artist’s Bracelet into sections and then re-carving and molding them. PREDATOR is one of my most popular unisex chokers. If this one grabs you take a look at BONES too. Created alongside¬†Predator, Bones always competes for my attention when I’m reaching for the other, and vice-versa. Either works great when paired with one of my pendants draped just a few inches below it…
