Public Art, TV Cameo & Chasing Moose in Montana

I have begun the bronze casting phase for my forthcoming NYC Parks’/Art in the Parks sculpture. If it doesn’t take me forever to do the chasing (it might)—lotsa grinding, filing, sanding—I should be able to install ACROBAT in Tribeca’s Finn Park before the summer ends. I look forward to finally hosting a champagne & chocolate vernissage for all who contributed to this cool public art project. Maybe July?

In March, I traveled to magnificent Montana to do a trunk show with Old Main Gallery. The gallery also arranged for me to engage in an informal Q & A with the metal-arts students and faculty from Montana State University. I always love being in Bozeman, catching up with old friends and seeing all my favorite ungulates (antelope! bighorn sheep! moose!). I returned home just in time to “cast” a couple of bronze sculptures on a popular action/neo-noir TV show filmed in NYC (details later).

I have restocked the shelves of Sculpturezoo’s Gift Shop with Vixen and Cabri—speaking of ungulates—plus Felicity and Kimbra, the most popular designs from my Artinjection Jewelry collection. All Sculpturezoo proceeds benefit the Art in the Parks exhibition. Thank you all for your continued support.

As always, I welcome feedback, actual food, & impromptu studio visits.

Happy sunny day, Dave
